Reflective Note 3

Perfect eStorm is the title of Module Three.  The title really peaked my interest.  The reading by Dr. Curtis J. Bonk provided a listing and descriptions of 30 emerging educational technologies. This was beneficial to introduce new ideas and concepts.  Emerging technologies is something we have to be aware of in developing the learning experience for students and as facilitators we have to actively seek out opportunities to participate in continuous learning opportunities to stay current.  This adds some challenges with the balance of time.  Facilitators need to keep current on the content and concepts and in addition all of the methods of delivery.  In one of the classes I facilitate I have learners in front of me in the classroom, logging in via Adobe Connect from 6 regional campus locations and also recording the class for later viewing for those who need the online learning flexibility.  In this attempt to meet the needs of all the learners it creates a challenge in developing learning activities to work with all the modes of delivery.

We needed to complete a concept map in addition to discussion.  I felt the concept map was helpful to break down the learning objectives, activities and assessment.  I plan to create an additional concept map to include the entire Marketing Principles course.
